We're Moving!

Mike started a new job last week at the Fox station in Denver. He's their new morning anchor, and so far he's loving the people he works with. This was a big promotion for him, and I'm so proud of him! I'm also really missing him, since he is living in Denver in an apartment, and I am here with our boys trying to sell the house. Luckily, I have my parents here to help me. They just moved here in Aug. I never have time to sit at the computer, but I thought I should share our big news with those of you I don't talk to everyday. We have loved living in Salt Lake, and are really going to miss our friends and family here. If you have any suggestions on where to live in Denver, I'd love to here them. And PLEASE, come stay with us if you're ever passing through Denver, and need a place to stay. Or better yet, just come visit us!

Here are some pictures of our Halloween weekend.

Michael Trey

I can't believe it's already July! The days all seem to run together when you're up all night with a baby. Needless to say, I have not had time to blog lately. Any spare time I have (and by spare, I mean kidless) is used to clean the house, take a shower, or simply just sit down and catch my breath. Who knew sitting could be such a luxury.

So, while I had every intention of sending out an announcement, I simply don't have the time. Hope you enjoy this slideshow of our beautiful baby boy!

Who do YOU think he looks like?

Michael Trey has Arrived!!!

The newest addition to our family was born this Memorial Day weekend.  He was 7 lbs. 11 oz. and 19 1/2 inches long.  He has dark brown hair and eyes, and a normal sized head (Yea!)  He looks a lot like Dylan did.  We named him Michael after his father, and Trey because he is our third son.

In case anyone cares, the C-section went fine and I am slowly recovering.  I had a spinal headache that required a blood patch.  They took blood out of my arm and shot it into my spine.  Other than that, I feel like I have had less pain than the previous two.  My mom is here helping for 2 weeks, and my grandma is coming this weekend to see him.  Then Mike's mom will be here to help after they go home.

It has been so cute to see the boys' reaction to him.  Dylan wants to hold him all the time.  Jack ignores him most of the time, but usually wants a turn if Dylan gets one.

Sorry this is just the facts.  Maybe when I'm not so drugged up,  I can write something cute and funny.

Easter

Only 4 weeks till I have my baby!!!

We had a fun Easter.  My parents came to visit and help decorate eggs.  We spent the morning at Misty Bostram's mission reunion, and ate our feast there.  Then we went home and the kid's hunted Easter eggs.  Then they spent the rest of the day, (and week for that matter) hiding and re-hiding the eggs.  I finally threw them away this week.  Then the next day we got new carpet, and beds for the boys.  Talk about spring cleaning.  I feel like I live in a new house, and am organized enough to add another child to the mix.

My baby turned 5!

Dylan decided he wanted a party at Chuckee-Cheese this year.  I hate Chuckee-Cheese , so I presented several options to him (some much more expensive,) but he would not budge.  The kids had a blast though, and were mesmerized when Chuckee-Cheese came out and danced with them. It turned out to be the perfect place to have a party.

Dylan doesn't like cake, so I made a giant cookie cake and decorated it.  Which probably doesn't seem like a big deal to all of you Martha Stewart moms out there, but I am not a cook or a do-it-yourselfer, so it was a big deal for me.  I used a Ben's Cookie recipe that Mike found for me. So Yummy!!

I can't believe I have a 5 year old.  They are growing up way too fast.  I recently took Dylan to his kindergarten orientation.  And the other day Jack wanted me to snuggle him while he took a nap, and it hit me that he won't be my baby anymore (not that he's ever looked like a baby... the kid is massive.)  I feel so lucky that I get to be home with them everyday while they're little.

Christmas

This Christmas we had my whole family in Salt Lake.  The boys loved playing with their cousin Derek, who turned one while he was here.  Dylan was very protective of him, and kept trying to carry him around.  And Jack just enjoyed taking toys away from him.

It snowed ALOT this Christmas, so we took the boys sledding twice over the holiday.

Santa was good to the boys this year. They got a Wii, and spent most of the day playing Rock Band.  I think the adults enjoyed it more than the kids, but Dylan has played the Star Wars Lego game with Mike every day since we got it.  I'm a little nervous that they're becoming video game nerds.

All the excitement was too much for Jack, and he passed out on a bench while eating lunch.  Isn't he cute?

Is it a boy or a girl?

Mike and I went in for an ultrasound on Dec 23 to find out the sex of our new baby.  I have had so much anxiety about it, because I really wanted a daughter and knew this would be my last try.  So the doctor said, "Do you see it?, " and I couldn't see anything, so I thought it was a girl, and had a moment of panic because I suddenly was afraid to have a girl.  Then it turned out to be a boy, and I was surprisingly relieved and even excited.  These pregnancy hormones are killing me.  My emotions have been out of control.  So my anxiety's finally gone, (until it hits me that I'm going to have 3 kids to wrestle with, of course,) and we're really excited to be having another boy.  If you have any suggestions for a name I'd love to hear them, since I've already used my two favorite.
